 Welcome to Sendai Cricket

Sendai Cricket is based in Sendai, northern Japan. We are a truly international, with members of many nationalities, and anybody of any skill level is welcome to join us even if you have never played before. Membership is ¥2000 for a full year (January to December) and ¥1200 for a half year (January to June or July to December. Please note that JETs or similar ALTs with contracts ending in August will be allowed to play until they leave without having to extend their membership). Non-member participation fee is ¥400. Member participation fee is ¥100.

The association was founded by Nigel Dixon (NZ) and Chris Birchall (Eng) in 2007. Chris left the club in 2008 and in 2009 Nigel followed. From July 2009 Sendai Cricket has been managed and captained by Christopher Aiezza with the help of vice-captain Robert 'Bobby' Gold. Sendai Cricket continues to grow and we look forward to seeing it continue to grow in the future.

From the end of the 2010 season, the Sendai Cricket Club was renamed Sendai Cricket. Sendai Cricket now governs the Western Sendai Bulldogs Cricket Club (covering the west half of Sendai City and South Miyagi captained by Christopher Aiezza) and the Senseki Dolphins Cricket Club (covering the east half of Sendai and Northern Miyagi captained by Robert 'Bobby' Gold).
